Family Trip to San Diego, CA

This year was our truely first family trip that we have gone on with all 3 kids. It was a wonderful vacation and definetly look forward to the next:)We went out to San Diego in the beginning of June for 8 days. Tom's mom and sister came out for a few of those days, and my sister, brother-in-law and nephew also came. It was really great to have a week with my sister!! We had not been able to see each other for over a year so I enjoyed them also spending their vacation with us.

It's funny how in 8 days you can crame in so many things. The first day we were there we went to the USS Midway.

I have never been on an air craft carrier and could not believe how big it was! The boys were excited to see the air planes and going through the whole ship.


After finishing up at the USS Midway, we decided to hit the beach. The boys we're excited to see the Ocean. I on the other hand was wishing for a warmer day!!!:) Brayden really could careless about the temperature he quickly went out.
As for the other two, it was quite humorous. Kyler wanted to go in, but thought it was really cold. He did later on get in quite aways. Zaelur, he wasn't so sure on it. He likes water so he ran out into the ocean and when the first wave came up he freaked out! And then when seaweed would touch him he'd just fall on all fours and start crying.



On Sunday we made our next stop at Sea World. I was amazed at how great Sea World is. It's definetly a busy busy place with all the shows to go to and we wished we would have went earlier in the day but it was wonderful!












On Monday was probably the whole reason why we went to San Diego.. LegoLand. Since Brayden was 4 he had been asking to go to LegoLand. Finally we made it.

There wasn't a dull spot for the boys. Although Kyler would cry about going on some ride, but as soon as we were done he would be like "oh that was cool". For Kyler his favorite was the driving course. The second day that we went (because we had to make two days out of it, hence the whole reason for us to be in San Diego) Kyle went on the little road course probably 6 or 7 times. He throughly enjoyed it and it was perfect for a 3 yr old.
They also had this firetruck contest, in which you had to take the truck down and shoot out the fire and bring the truck back. Really good times!!



The other days we broke up by going to the Zoo. That place is unbelieveably HUGE!!! To me the best part of it was the fact that some of the exibts you were really close to the animals. The Giraffs and the Rhino. Just great!




We also went to the Birch Aquarium, which I was just okay with. Interesting but not. Not much more to go on it:)






The Air and Space Museum was interesting. Brayden is really into space and Kyler & Zaelur like airplanes so we thought it couldn't hurt to walk through it. I was amazed at how many air planes and space crafts that they had fit into that building. Definety neat!


Another exciting place that we went to was Belmont Park. It's this little amusement park right next to the beach. We had such a great time!!! Only problem, I'm not 12 anymore:)
LOL Those rides kicked my butt!! I thought I was okay and at the end truely thought I was going to throw up! I could't really eat dinner and the next day I went on a carousel and got really really sick!!!



It was such a great time spending it with the kids! I definetly cherished every day that we had there and can not forget any of it!! We're in the plans for our next Family Vacation, but it'll probably be in a few years. We try to go all out and it will also be great to have more people to be able to share it with us. It was GREAT while it lastest, SAD to see it over, but we're ANXIOUS for the next:)
